Confederation of Indian Industry (ER) organized Safety Symposium & Exposition at ITC Sonar, Kolkata on 7 – 8 August 2019. ‘Always Alert; Accident Avert’ -was the main slogan / advise of the symposium. Mr Tarun Kumar Sen of Neogi Technologies & Research Pvt. Ltd. joined the session. Shri Sujit Bose ,Hon’ble Minister of State ,Department of Fire & Emergency Services , Government of West Bengal was present on the 2nd day of the Symposium and unveiled a report on ‘Report on Compliance To Risk Management : Encashing your Rewards.’ A no. of topics were discussed in 2 Days session like *Responsible leadership for Transforming Safety Culture,* Moving from Compliance to Risk Management,* Making the Fire& Electrical Safety Management Effective, *Compliance and Risk Management in Mining Industry,*Importance of PPE in Managing Risk,* Reducing Hazards through Process Safety Management. Root causes of accidents like Bhopal Gas Incident, Nuclear Power Plant, and accident at Chernobyl, Russia etc. were discussed. Neogi Technologies & Research Pvt. Ltd. was given SHE award for the year 2018-19

Governance Task Force Meeting was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (ER) in its Kolkata Office on 16th August, 2019. Mr. Sandip Kumar Neogi, Director, Neogi Technologies & Research Pvt. Ltd. was present in the meeting. Representatives from Govt. of West Bengal gave their presentation on “Ease of Doing Business” with the CII members. Mr. N Ramaswamy welcomed the team of WB Govt. for these initiatives. The details were made available in the Govt. website www.silpasathi.in . Mr. Neogi in his address pointed out some problematic areas of MSME which the Gov. Team assured that it wouldl be taken care of. It was also resolved in the meeting that a workshop on Risk Management will be organized sometimes in the month of November, 2019.
