INAUGURAL INTERACTION ” SIDM MSME CONSULTATIVE FORUM” – NTR PVT. LTD. PARTICIPATION

In order to help and support the MSME units in Defence Sector, Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) has taken an initiative which will act as a matchmaker between members MSMEs and Indian Defence Industry. The guest speakers were: Mr Jayant D Patil - President, SIDM, Mr S P Shukla - Vice President SIDM, Mr Baba Kalyani-Past President, Mr Sujit Haridas-DG, SIDM, Mr Praveen Toshniwal, Chairman, SIDM, MSME Subcommittee, Admiral Pritam Lal, Principal Advisor, SIDM and others. The Forum will endeavour to:

# Arrange guidance & support from offices under the Ministry of Defence and other Ministries, as may be relevant, wherever it is considered necessary.

# Arrange interaction with Customer organisations {Services and their lower formations, DPSUs, DRDO, HQs and their laboratories & establishments, OFB and Factories} to provide clarifications on policy provisions, procurement procedures, vendor registration procedures etc.

# Extend guidance and support, through internal resources of SIDM, to navigate the landscape of procedures/processes of customer organisations.

# Provide an interactive platform to member industries to discuss their specific issues/queries related to R & D, procurement procedures and processes of Customer organisations in the Indian Defence sector.It was also announced that SIDM is going to organise a VIRTUAL EXHIBITION between 18 May -29 May 2020. Mr Tarun Kr. Sen of NTR Pvt. Ltd joined the Webinar session.

SPECIAL V C SESSION – NTR PVT. LTD. PARTICIPATION

Neogi Technologies & Research Pvt. Ltd. joined Special V C Session with Mr. Ram Mohan Mishra, SS & DC. Ministry of MSME on 21 April, Tuesday, at 11 am., through Webinar organized by Confederation of Indian Industry, Eastern Region MSME Subcommittee. Mr Shreekant Somany, Chairman, CII National MSME Council in his opening remarks expressed his views on the present situation of MSMEs due to COVID -19. He also proposed to the Government to introduce a Technology Fund only for MSMEs to make themselves competitive on Emerging Technologies/ Continuing Development. Mr. Ashok Saigal, Co-Chairman CII National MSME Council explained the present challenges and some recommendations suggested by CII. Mr Ram Mohan Mishra SS & DC, Ministry of MSME, Government of India pointed out few initiatives to be tabled shortly by the Government of India in favour of MSME to combat post-COVID-19 situations like arrangement of Fund for growth and survival, reduction of interest rate for Bank Loan, Re-Designing of different Schemes, New Guidelines for Cluster Development to cope up with the new challenges waiting at the door-step of Post-COVID- 19 environment and Fund arrangement for Innovation and to build competitiveness. He also advised that COVID-19 is a short term trauma after which big opportunities will knock on our doors. In the meantime, every MSME has to transform themselves to SMART MSME. 5S, Skill Development, Building Competitiveness, Knowledge Management, Lean Management, Restructuring etc. are the few steps required to enter post-COVID-19 Global Market / provide support service to foreign OEM/ collaborative approach with Industry giant. Mr Vijuy Ronjan, Chief General Manager, SBI explained the initiative of the SBI 'Fund for COVID-19 for MSME. On the present situation the " PNB initiatives" were explained by Mr Punit Jain GM MSME, PNB. Mr Tarun Sen of NTR Pvt. Ltd., FOSMI, Mr Todi of CII pointed out a few burning problems which checks the growth of MSMEs. Mr Somany was in accord with these views.

POST COVID – 19 SITUATION
