“NEO MSME SUMMIT- 2030: AN MSME ODYSSEY”- NTR PVT. LTD. PARTICIPATION

Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized "NEO MSME Summit- 2030: An MSME Odyssey” in Hotel Hindustan International, Kolkata on 7th June, 2019. The objective of this Summit was to bring together the relevant stakeholders on one platform for meaningful deliberation and addressing key issues related to the MSME sector, also to draw a road-map that can catalyze the appropriate changes and reforms through the next decade. Mr. Tarun Sen joined the session on behalf of NTR Pvt. Ltd. Dr.Harish Hirani,Director,CSIR – CMERI,Durgapur, Mr. S. Kalyanram, GM, State Bank of India, Mr. Wenkatesh Patri, Head-Sales And Business Development ,Amazon Global Selling, Mr. Ken Nakamura, Deputy Consulate General of Japan and Mr .Ajoy Bandopadhyaya, Director, M S M E , Kolkata, Government of India were the speakers in the session.

All the speakers focussed on the importance of MSME units and also mentioned the respective services which can be provided from their sphere of business activities. Mr. Ken Nakamura told about the acute man power crisis in Japan every year and consequently business houses are trying to increase cross border business, collaboration and Technology Transfer Programme, specially for SMEs. He requested everybody to take this opportunity to come closer. There was also B2B session and session for “Access to Finance, Market and Technology: Road Ahead for MSMEs”. The session was very informative and effective for MSME units.

PROGRAMME ON “THE CAPITAL & COMMODITY MARKETS” – NTR PVT. LTD. PARTICIPATION

ASSOCHAM the apex industry chamber organised a Programme on “The Capital & Commodity Markets” on 31st May, 2019 at Kolkata. One day program was aimed at evaluating the underlying issues and to take forward the mission of growth of the sector with new dimensions. The discussion was mainly on the challenges of awareness and inclusion and the opportunities of diversification and investor education along with hedging, currencies and future of operations. Mr. Tarun Sen joined the session on behalf of NTR Pvt. Ltd.

The eminent speakers shared their views over The Product Innovations, Raising Finances through Alternative Modes, Commodities Marketing – Hedging of Base Metals, The Operational Challenges, Currencies and Foreign Exchange and Financial literacy through digital initiatives, industry academia partnership for industry awareness.

Shri Sadhan Pandey, Minister In Charge, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of West Bengal, Chief Guest, released a Report “ Building SME s of India." The speakers of the sessions told that there is no Equity culture, People are very shy to invest money in SME through Stock Exchange, and SME does not understand that Capital Markets are the only way to wealth creation. They also mentioned Tax structures need to be revised, hedge fund holistic approaches are needed .Double Taxation need to be reviewed .and Dividend Tax etc. One of the speakers spoke on “Financial literacy “
