INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH TRADE WINDS BUSINESS DELEGATION TEAM

Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized an Interactive session with Trade Winds Business Delegation Team in its Kolkata office on 9th May, 2019. Ms. P Hoffman, Consul General, USA led the delegation team. The Trade Winds Business Delegation Team was interested to offer business opportunity and build up business relationship with Indian Business Professionals in various sector like Energy, Health, Water, Artificial Intelligence, Education etc. Ms. Anastasia Mukherjee , International Trade Specialist was also present in the delegation team. The team advised to contact US Commercial Office for any query for establishing effective B2B activities from both the end.

WORKSHOP ON BEHAVIOURAL SAFETY

The Safety Tusk Force committee of Confederation of Indian Industry (Eastern Region) organized a Workshop on Behavioural Safety at The Park, Kolkata on 24th April, 2019. Mr Sandip Kumar Neogi, Director, Neogi Technologies & Research Pvt. Ltd. was invited to attend the workshop. Mr. Goutam Roy, Co Chairman, CII (ER) Safety Tusk Force & Executive Director, CESC Ltd. in his welcome address told about the various activities carried out by the Safety Tusk Force during the past one year. Mr. Lalit Gabhane, Director General of National Safety Council, India told about the importance of safety in everybody’s life. He stressed upon the usage of 4 E s such as follows:

E – Engineering

E – Encouraging

E – Enforcement

Mr. Probal Bandyopadhyay, Chief HSE, Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd. in his speech explained very lucidly the “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” relating to Behavioural Safety and the process of reduction of mistake in People Oriental Safety Management.

Mr. T S Ranganathan, Consultant, CESC Ltd. in his concluding speech described the various aspects of Behavioural Based Safety and core elements in successful safety programmes.
