The 15th Annual Meet of Neogi Group of Companies was held in the evening of 18th January, 2020 in the factory premises of NTR Pvt. Ltd. This year has been very special for “The South Point”, one of the important organization of Neogi Group, being the Step In year for the observation of its 50 years of long journey. Mr. Dhruvapada Neogi, the main anchor of Neogi Group was present in the programme. Mr. Soumen Kumar Neogi, Senior Member of Neogi Group, Mr. Samir Kumar Neogi, MD, NTR Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Sandip Kumar Neogi , Director, Mr. Sanjib Kumar Neogi, Director and Mr. Sukanta Neogi, Director were present in the session. Mr. Dhruvapada Neogi in his address mentioned the past history of starting the business and also mentioned about the support and cooperations which he enjoyed from the employees. Mr. Samir Kumar Neogi, MD, NTR Pvt. Ltd. in his address urged the employees to adhere to the work culture sustaining in the organization and also requested to improve on it. Mr. Soumen Kumar Neogi told about the different programmes to be undertaken by the company for observance of 50 years of “The South Point”. He also mentioned about the acceptance of NTR product globally. Mr. Susital Misra, Mr. C R Maitra and Mr. Sibasis Basu also spoke in the programme.

The family members of the employees participated in the cultural function in the evening. There was also Quiz Contest for all present in the programme. Ms. Swarnali Neogi, daughter of Mr. Sanjib Kumar Neogi conducted the quiz programme. Finally, there was distribution of awards to all the employees recognizing their contribution in the performance of the company.

Ltd. was the recipient of CII Quality Award, 2019 which was handed over by Mr. Yatish Kumar, Chairman, CII (ER) Manufacturing Subcommittee and Chairman and Managing Director Braithwaite & Co. Ltd in an occasion organized by CII (ER) and JPC (Steel) - launching of “Purvodaya -Accelerated Development of Eastern Region through Integrated Steel Hub”, inauguration of CII Manufacturing Conclave and Award giving Ceremony for Quality Awards on 11th January 2020 at The Oberoi Hotel, Kolkata. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan , Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum, Natural Gas & Steel, Government of India was present as the Chief Guest. ’Purvodaya’- Rise of the East, which plans to encourage and bring user industries MSMEs around the integrated Greenfield Steel Hub in five eastern states – West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and parts of Andra Pradesh, was formally unveiled by the minister. The Heads of SAIL, IOC, Coal India and senior officials from Central Govt. and State Govt. of Eastern region were present along with eminent personalities from the different fields and houses.

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister mentioned that Eastern India was a land of infinite opportunities. Despite being endowed with natural resources, this region has lagged behind compared to some of the other parts of the country. ‘Pouvodaya’ is a new chapter which will script the rise of Eastern India by accelerated development of the steel sector through an integrated steel hub. Mr. Goutam Bose, Mr. Chandan Mukherjee, Mr. Tarun Kr. Sen, Mr. Sayan Das and Mr. Abhisek Ghosh were present in the function.
